Forensic Science
At Damonte Ranch High School (DRHS), students in the Forensic Science program step into the role of investigators, using science to uncover answers and solve complex problems. Through hands-on labs and real-world simulations, students analyze evidence, study investigative techniques, and apply critical thinking skills that mirror those used in professional forensic laboratories.
Coursework introduces students to topics such as crime scene analysis, fingerprinting, trace evidence, toxicology, and the scientific method behind criminal investigations. By blending biology, chemistry, and physics with problem-solving and attention to detail, the program provides a rigorous, engaging learning experience.
DRHS’s Forensic Science program not only sparks curiosity but also prepares students for future pathways in forensic science, criminal justice, law enforcement, and other science-related careers. Through Career and Technical Education, students gain practical skills and insight into high-demand fields while building confidence in their academic and professional goals.
